AYR Interphone – Smart intercom for remote door opening

AYR Interphone: smart intercom to open the building entrance from your mobile

The AYR Interphone is an electronic device designed to convert an existing analogue intercom into a system for remote, smart opening of the building entrance.

Part of the AYR Integra ecosystem, it lets you integrate the building portal into a complete access control solution for coliving, short-term rental apartments, shared-rent apartments, offices and other professionally managed properties.

Its main advantage is that it reuses the installed intercom, avoiding replacement of the entire entry phone system.

Ideal for the primary access of a coliving property

In coliving or shared-rent setups, access is usually divided into levels. AYR Interphone can handle the first level: the building entrance.

It can then be combined with other AYR Integra devices such as AYR Pass for the apartment main door and AYR Smart Handle for individual rooms, enabling a full-stack access solution.

Remote opening from the existing analogue intercom

AYR Interphone installs onto the existing analogue intercom unit in the dwelling and acts electronically on the portal opening mechanism, modernising access without replacing the whole entry phone infrastructure.

The manufacturer states compatibility with analogue intercoms or systems that provide access to a physical open-button.

Compatible with AYR Integra ecosystem

AYR Interphone is compatible with AYR Integra, allowing its inclusion in installations with multiple devices and access levels. This is particularly useful where you want centralised management of building, dwelling and room access.

Remote management

The system supports remote access management. For remote operation, AYR specifies that the int_NEX device is required.

Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy

AYR Interphone incorporates Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy to communicate with compatible devices in the ecosystem while keeping power consumption low.

Remote connectivity via int_NEX

Connectivity can be expanded with the int_NEX device, necessary for full remote operation; therefore, projects requiring remote management should consider the complete configuration, not the intercom alone.

Encrypted communication

AYR Interphone uses an encrypted connection compatible with other AYR Integra devices to ensure access remains limited to authorised users.

Installation without structural works

It is designed for installation without structural works, adapting to the existing analogue intercom in most cases. Verify the installed intercom model and confirm it has access to the physical open button before ordering.

Indoor installation only

AYR Interphone is for indoor use only and must be installed next to the intercom inside the dwelling, office or control point. It is not weatherproof.

Powered by a 9 V battery

The device operates with one 9 V 1200 mAh battery, avoiding the need for additional mains wiring in many installations.

Operating conditions

AYR Interphone is rated to operate approximately between -10 ºC and +50 ºC with humidity between 5 % and 90 %.

Two finishes to suit interiors

Available in two colours for easier integration with different intercoms and interiors. The housing is made of ABS.
