This material comes from leaves that fall from palm trees, which, through the manufacturing process, are turned into various types of single-use containers.
Dry palm leaves fall to the ground and are collected for production; palm trees are never felled to obtain them, making this one of the most eco-friendly materials. The leaves are washed with water and turmeric, rinsed and air-dried. Once ready, they are stretched and pressed into the desired shapes using heated presses. They are then cleaned, trimmed and dried so the plates, bowls or trays can be packaged.
